In the long run of human development it offers a step towards a future human family, where, beyond consanguinity, the self is based on itself and respect for the selves of others.Enabling humanity to overcome its limits to knowledge
At the heart of the Anthroposophical Society is the School of Spiritual Science, inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner in 1924 as a home for deepened research into the origin and nature of the many problems facing humanity in its many fields, solutions to which Steiner and his colleagues seek to make a contribution.
The School is conceived in terms of three classes and a range of twelve sections, the latter related to fields of endeavour where a professional contribution can be made out of spiritual science: such as medicine, agriculture, education and economics.
Members of the School are members of the Society who meet its sole condition of entry: that one chooses to make oneself and one’s work representative of anthroposophy. How this is accomplished depends on the individual’s karma, but in the background are 19 lessons that pertain to the experiences one will likely have in setting out on such a path and so serve as a guide.
